Cambodia - Vietnam Trip Day 3 (17/06/06)
morning has come...we took a bus from siam reap to phom peh...tourist will have to pay USD4 for the ticket while locals pay only USD3... DAMM! the journey will take about 6 hours...please be aware that the way people drive in Cambodia is exactly the same in China... pressing on the horn all the way asking slow vehicles to pegi tepi in order to take over them... > <

after 6 hours of journy we arrived Phom Peh..we checked into a hotel which was recommended by the hotel we stayed in Siam Reap...cost of room = USD9 per room per nite for 3 people...the room was quite ok with tv and attached bathrom but the room i got dont have a cold aircond...damm ! but still ok ok lar...after we had our lunch we started our trip to Cambodia Royal Palace...
hm apparently they have the same concept as Thailand Royal Palace..except the Thailand Royal Palace has complete wall paintings...unlike the one in Cambodia Royal Palace...half naked
after spending like an hour plus at Cambodia Royal Palace, we went to our next destination...Killing Field...the journey from the Palace is about an hour...on the way we saw Cambodia Independence Monument

Killing Field Memorial Monument...what is Killing Field? it is a place where killing is done by the Khmer Rouge...apparently around 16k people were killed at the field...in the early 90's people came to dug the mass grave...8k skeletons were dug out and it was grouped accoridng to sex and age and placed in the memorial building...go to the net to read more about Khemr Rouge and Killing Field...
